InfraTec GmbH Infrarotsensorik und Messtechnik develops, manufactures and sells, among others, products from the field of infrared measurement technology which allow for a non-contact and non-destructive temperature measurement. In industry, both temperature-critical processes and automated monitored quality controls can be realized this way. InfraTec GmbH is divided into the two business units Infrared Sensor Technology and Measurement Technology. The Infrared Sensor Technology division develops and manufactures approximately 50 standard types of modular pyroelectric infrared detector systems. The Measurement Technology division offers thermography and thermal imagers, thermography software and turnkey thermography automation solutions. In the industrial environment, solutions for automatic quality control and process monitoring are used. Further areas of application are research & development, maintenance as well as monitoring and determining. After the company started as an engineering office in venues of the TU Dresden in 1990, InfraTec GmbH was listed in the Dresden Commercial Register in 1991. Initially, the focus was on pyroelectric detectors, which are currently manufactured by the Infrared Sensor Division in a 1,000 m² cleanroom area. A few years later, the Measurement Technology division gained in importance as a result of extended product ranges and the distribution of automated thermography solutions throughout Germany and worldwide later on. Today, the division services all application areas of thermography. In recent years, subsidiaries have been established in the United States and the United Kingdom to strengthen operations in the main sales regions of Europe and North America. In addition, InfraTec GmbH has an international sales network with a focus on Asia, which is coordinated by the Dresden headquarters which transfers the corporate philosophy into country-specific marketing strategies.
