Customer-specific longitudinal transfer and ring clock systems with free circulation are used with up to 8 process stations. Cycle times are between 25 and 55 seconds. The degree of automation is high. Typical assembly steps are joining by press-fitting, for example of rubberized metal plugs and ECU, welding, pulley assembly with compensation of manufacturing tolerances and magnet assembly. Other processes include engine heating, thickness control, metal plug type, orientation and misalignment testing or component fitting. Labeling is done manually or via a label dispenser depending on the cycle time. Operators can be found among the automotive OEM as well as in the automotive supplier industrie. Electromotive assemblies for steering support such as control units, magnets, pulleys or plugs are typical workpieces.
