Combined Measuring and Testing Systems for Small Parts

Automatic sorting and inspection machines offer fast, non-contact geometry inspection as well as other tests (surface inspection, hardness testing and microstructure tests) of small parts present as bulk material with at least one stable conveying layer. An automatic sorting machine usually consists of the basic frame, a supply hopper with feeding, separation and complete small parts handling as well as the image processing system with cameras, lighting, evaluation electronics, software and operating unit. The use of several cameras from different angles enables three-dimensional detection. Bad parts are usually discharged directly by blowing them out, and sorted parts are transferred to appropriate conveyor lines or chutes. The inspection machines are freely programmable within a certain parts spectrum.
