Drive Shaft Assembly Systems

Typical Products
  • Drive Shafts
  • Cardan Shafts

Drive shafts are vehicle components for power transmission. They are part of the drive train. Cardan shafts, also known as side shafts, transmit power to the wheels, while propshafts, as longitudinal shafts, are usually used to transmit power to the transfer cases. Cardan shafts consist of a connecting shaft, a fixed joint on the wheel side and a constant velocity joint on the gearbox side and enable spring travel (extension and retraction) and steering angle. During operation, both joints are protected from external or environmental influences by grease-filled rubber sleeves. Brittle boots cause contamination, which increases the noise level and wear.
