Horizontal Articulated Arm Robot for low Payloads
Typical applications for SCARA robots with low payloads are pick-and-place applications such as sorting tasks. The horizontal jointed-arm robots, which are equipped with 4 degrees of freedom (translatory and rotatory), can be extended by linear axes on which they can be mounted. Normal SCARA robots are floor-mounted, but special versions can also be mounted on the ceiling or wall.
