The uniquator L-PL 20F SB50 from penteq is an automatic stand-alone system for automatic laser marking of type plates. The type plate laser marking machine can be used to label different materials. Plates made of plastic or glass can be permanently marked in addition to mentioned nameplates made of metals such as (anodized) aluminum, stainless steel and brass. In predominant marking of metals engraving, ablation and tempering (iron plates) are applied. On the other hand, plastics can be processed by discoloring / foaming as well as engraving and ablation. The type plates can be square, square with pointed and rounded corners or round. The inscription by the penteq system can be carried out on rigid and flat plates only. Depending on the application, solid-state lasers are available either as diode-end-pumped 10/25 Watt Nd:YVO4 lasers or diode-pumped and Q-switched 20/30/50 Watt Nd:YAG fiber lasers. The operation of the nameplate labeling system takes place via an operator panel. Alphanumeric characters and logos for laser marking can be retrieved from a database in order to be used as marking contents for the nameplates. Therefore the display shows both the number of the loading magazine and the number of the completed order and thus ensures easy allocation. A vision panel allows control of the process. An unmanned operation over longer periods is possible by a magazine quick change device.
