Assembly systems for Short engines and complete engines
- complete engines
Short engines and complete engines are fully assembled automotive combustion engines. On the full-engine, the auxiliary units, such as the intake system, fuel injection system, oil pump and cooling system, are mounted on the short engine. The engine assembly system is the actual main assembly line. In addition to the preassembled subassemblies such as control housing, oil pan or cylinder head cover, the crank mechanism with crankshaft, piston and connecting rod, valve drive with camshaft and cam follower elements as well as the control gear with control chains, gear wheels and tension rollers are mounted.
